Early Head Start Head Start Child Care

ACHR's wraparound program serves children ages 0-12 at  Darden Center in Opelika, and Marian Wright Edelman Center in rural Russell County.  Wraparound care is offered at Darden and Edelman at low cost to parents for those who need childcare from 6-8 a.m. and 2-5:30 p.m., and/or during the summer and during the winter holiday period.  Transportation can be provided to and from school for the school-aged children who attend the local schools.

Care provided in a central location for families with children spanning a wide age range so that the parent has only one pick-up in the evening.

During the summer months, Camp Smiley Face featuring a wide variety of activities and events is offered at Darden Center for the older children.
