The purpose of the Fatherhood Program is to encourage and support responsible fathering, to increase fathers' understanding of the importance of being involved with their children and to give positive direction to their involvement with their children,

Small groups of fathers have begun meeting to become more knowledgeable in a wide variety of areas including how to support and encourage their child's learning and love of literacy.

In addition to supporting their children's learning, fathers are encouraged to do whatever is needed to be in a better position to support their children including job exploration, remaining in school themselves, returning to school or training, and in other ways increasing their employability. Other services may be offered as needed.

For more information, call 334-821-8336 and ask for the Fatherhood Specialist.
