All centers will be open for normal operations on Monday August 30. King Center Head Start will start in center education.

ATTENTION DARDEN HEAD START CENTER PARENTS: Unfortunately, we are having to temporarily close Darden Head Start for in center education through the week of August 23. Teachers will be contacting parents concerning virtual learning for this next week. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience but we are committed to keeping our children and staff safe.Please continue to monitor our website and facebook account for our reopening date.This closure DOES NOT affect Darden Early Head Start or afterschool program.

King Center postpone opening
Unfortunately, we are having to postpone the King Center in center opening until August 3oth in order to ensure proper child staff ratio. Teachers will be contacting parents concerning virtual learning for this next week.

Edelman EHS Cosed 8/17-8/26/21
ATTENTION Edelman Early Head Start Parents: Due to COVID cases and exposure we are forced to close the Edelman Early Head Start Program starting tomorrow 8/17/21 through 8/26/21.
The Edelman Early Head Start Program will open back up on Friday, August 27, 2021.
Your child’s teachers will be contacting you to participate in Virtual Education. Please try to participate!
Parent’s should have received a letter when picking up their child today with instructions.
This closure does not effect Edelman Head Start that will start classes on Monday 8/23/21.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but must follow our procedures and the CDC recommendations to keep children, families, and staff safe! Thank you for your understanding!
Our office offers 650 appointments per month, but we have already made over 1500 applications for this month.
Several clients are taking handfuls of applications from the dropbox and are leaving none for others. The applications are changed monthly so the additional applications that are being taken from the dropbox will not be accepted for future appointments!
Please only take 1 application per household during the time of your appointment. If we receive an old application during your appointment we will not process it and will request for you to make a new appointment.
